from penny, Apr. 20

hey..  well my dear kim.. its been 4 weeks since your stroke..  such progress you have made. i remember that friday so well.  jim and i had just sat down with a glass of wine  around 5ish in the garden, when the phone rang.  it was john .. he told me you had had a massive hemmorhage while working in your garden and were due for surgery within the hour..  i said the "f" word.  not very nice of me.   could have said something more pleasant.  but "f"!   we polite garden club ladies never say that stuff.  hah.

remember at christmas/new years time when life was topsy turvey ENOUGH already?  i brought you a little bluebird .. a talisman to say that better times were ahead and the bluebird of happiness would be back.  you said you had a feeling you weren't quite done with the tough times yet.  jeepers creepers kid.. i guess you are more prescient than i am.  well .. i am now invoking the power of the bluebird of happiness.. "zippity do dah zippity ay.. my oh my what a wonderful day"..  he is going to be on your shoulder from now on and every day will be a bit better than the last..  so get your "zippity do dah" on and have a wonderful day.  much love and prayers coming your way... p
